It's been a while since I've lived on my own and indigo apartments have it made my experience very good with maintenance issues and staff has been awesome. I just would've liked to know about having to pay a double deposit.

Amazingly Beautiful and Peaceful

Wow! was my first words when I walked into my new apartment home. All new appliances, flooring, and even a full washer and dryer. I have the best view in the community??. I met the area manager, Miles Diaz, CAM. He is awesome and committed to creating the best community for the residents. I am pleased with my choice. I am a writer, consultant, and mother. A peaceful environment is necessary for my success. I have found that here at Indigo. I have no complaints and only praise for the awesome staff from maintenance to office. Everyone is really friendly. I actually received flowers, a gift mug, and free pizza my first week here! It is a great place to live. ????????????

the prperty is qutie pleasents for now they are remodilng

its a quite neighbor hood plenty of parking spaces and near restaurants and wal mart don't have to drive far to get thing u need it could use a playground to take kids outside instead of being stuck in doors and they need to improve on opening the gates so we can take our kids to the bus stop im always having an issue with that but other than that everything is quite pleasent

I think it is going to be so beautiful.

Living at the Indigo Apartments is nice with all the construction underway. I wish there was better walk ways and paths to get to the apartments. Also when you enter and exit the Apartments the noise it makes is so loud all hours of the night it keeps my baby up. But over all its a nice safe area and I love it here.

No Care for Safety of Children

For the last 12.5 years I have lived here, the children, at least 90 minority, who ride the school buses are picked up on Stratsford St. The walk-thru gates was always unlocked along Statsford so they have a quick and safe route to the pick up spots. Weidner refuses to unlock those making all the children walk out the front gates, walk along Pennsylvania Ave. with busy traffic, and then walk around to the backside of the complex.

First month free

This is my second month here and I was to pay only half a months rent for the month of October. However, on my dashboard it shows that I am to pay in full by the 2nd of November 2018. Please resolve this issue at your earliest convenience. -Misty

I love the Highlands

I would say that the rent is reasonable. The amenities are great. That it can be noisy, but that is usually a short lived circumstance, not something that happens all the time. The property is trying hard to upgrade the exterior and seem to be doing it quickly. The staff is very good at assisting in many ways, adjusting their schedule, helping meet your needs. The grounds are also very well maintained. Landscaping is being done constantly. Maintenance has not been an issue for me, as all of appliances seem up to code and work well. Overall, I am very happy at the Highlands, and I would recommend it as a great, quiet, safe place.

It is a good value for a first time renter.

It is a good location, a bit run down however renovations are ongoing. I wish the fitness center was operational and we had a date it will be open. My maintenance requests have been handled within 48 hours. I like the outside access and the people are friendly.

Comfy affordable apartment homes

I have problems with bugs from neighbors. I hate having bug problems when I’m not a dirty tenant. However the apartments have been quick to respond to maintenance and pest control requests. I also know they can’t control if my neighbors are dirty. Rent is affordable and the apartments are quiet. Parking is available and neighbors are friendly. Staff is quick to help when you have needs or comments.

Filthy grounds and units

For anybody looking for a new apartment I would not recommend this community. The apartments often throw their old appliances out and the way they do this is by leaving them in front of the tenants dumpsters. These items are not picked up from the trash company this way nor will the trash cans be emptied because there's so much stuff sitting in front of them. Also my stove malfunctioned and caught on fire where it plugs in and they brought me to separate roach-infested stoves as a replacement. Not only did I have to spend over 50 of my own money trying to get rid of the roaches that they brought into my home for 3 months my apartment had to be sprayed on a weekly basis. Not acceptable at all

The property is alright.

I would tell them I like the layout of our aparment. There is something that needs fixing evertyime I look up so take that into consideration before you move in.

They are ok

New ownership maybe things will change but 8 months in and I haven't noticed a change except construction. They seem to care more about that than the safety of current residents. The lights in my breezeway have been out for a month and the office says they will get to it when the electrician can get to it. Of the 8 apartments in my breezeway 1 besides mine is occupied and in the winter my apartment is freezing and summer it is hot. Be prepared to have an very high electric bill because of the insulation. I have bugs that I have reported to the office that are probably coming from one of the unoccupied apartments. Waiting on the apartment to be sprayed. The gym used to be pretty nice but most of the free weights have been stolen and I believe 2 of the 3 treadmills are broke. The size of the 1 bed room is nice and I like the layout. Might be a nice complex once all the construction is done but at the moment and for the past while...not that great.

Overall Satisfactory

There are a lot of other worse options out there. The apartment I got put in has a lot of small issues that add up to a rather distracting package, but it's nowhere near at the level of previous places I've lived in my life. If it weren't for ultimately minor things here and there I'd say the place is near perfect. Easily the best feature is the staff, as they're all competent and friendly. The worst bit has been a gnat and roach problem which, months after moving, is only now nearly but not totally taken care of.

Excellent place

Comfortable next to no interferance. Renovations are comparible much higher rent. Class their offering from visible construction makes it more comfortable. The amount of space available makes it worth trying in flexibility http passinginnovation.ch web

Embarrassed to bring friends to complex

The staff does not return phone calls. The grounds are always trashed, furniture and other large items sitting by the trash dumpsters for weeks on end. Red dirt constantly in parking lot makes for a constant mess tracking into car. Contractors remodeling burned out unit 404 constantly leaving debris trail from the door to the lot.

The renovations

Disappointing

Don't move here because they do not care about their renters. That I lived here for over 4 years and now that my lease is up i have to go through a while new application process to requalify to stay somewhere I already been for 4 years. To ms me someone so that because it's a new management is just an excuse because apartments change management all the time and you do not have to resubmit a new application if that's the case I should qualify for the new lower rate of I need to reapply like a new tenant instead of having to still pay the higher amount. I'm highly disappointed of the non appreciation for their current tenants.

Overall experience has been pleasant

it has been a god experience for me so far except that with the previous company, to get maintenance was a hassle. It took at least a month to get them to my apartment each time i had a issue. The new company however is wonderful they made many positive changes and I like the way everything is being handled with ease. Rent is payed online, you get notified when you receive a package and many other good things

Decent

The new management team is way better then the last. Previous management let a severe water pressure issue maintenance request go on for 6 months before it was finally resolved. This was only after I consulted with a lawyer. This is one of many issues that we experienced. I never once received documentations for work orders completed. When i inquired they said that they don't do that. The new team actually leaves documentation in the apartment and the few issues that i have had have been handled promptly. I have also noticed actual security patrols at night. Thank you for making this place more enjoyable and still affordable You will make a nice changed that was much needed

Needs improvement badly

Needs improvement badly You put false notes on my door twice now Once about rent that was already paid and the second time about my cat who has lived here with me since I moved in I dont appreciate that at all. Be careful why and how you send those out someone can sue you I have checked I dont like that at all.

Needs a lot of work and improvement

A great area because it is close to everything you need, from shopping, eating out, car repairs and entertainment. The apartments are old and a bit run down but I think the new property owners are trying to make things look better and fix the place up some. The main thing I can see that is a problem is the doors need to be replaced. The door jams are all bent up and need to be more secure. I am a little nervous going to and from my care or taking out the trash because there needs to be a little more lighting at night in front of my apartment where my car is parked. I have only lived here a little over a month but they have fixed just about anything that I notified them about that needed fixed. I guess the rent is pretty reasonable for the area. The crime rate is pretty high in the area but hopefully that will get better with all the new businesses that are being built closer to the apartments. So far, all is going well for me.

Packages

Why is the office closed on Sunday I don't stop living on Sunday. I still pay rent for Sunday so why can i not pick up my packages only on a during a small amount of time The hours are a lot leas than there where. If this is how the new ownership is going to operate Im not renewing my lease. And why do i have to pay a crap ton of fees to pay my rent online if i cant do a electronic check. Why can i not get a money order

very run down and noise and drug deals all the time

Certainly see an improvement since they have started onsite security at night however police are constantly onsite for domestic issues with neighbors, I have witnessed obvious drug deals with people driving on the property and tenants, tenants and visitors parking outside the my apartment bedroom windows at 2 am with BOOMing speakers and music while they leave car running, other tenants across the parking lot constantly playing stereo with patio doors open so loud that even with my blinds shut, door closed it still is blasting thru my apartment walls and again they are across the parking lot. I'm just thankful they are in the bldg. across from me and not across the hall. I've had to call the police twice this month alone for them fighting and taking a metal pipe to each other. I've been notified that they are making the whole south side of the complex move and honestly it is a blessing. I would not renew my lease here or move to the other side of the complex as they have offered everyone.

Isn't what it was

SHUT MY WATER OFF FOR NO REASON

You know everybody gives this place a bad rep, but i still chose to live here and honestly we were doing great Till i come home after working 11 hour shift and go to take a shower and ill be damned if my water was not shut off... why I HAVE NO IDEA NO WATER WHAT SO EVER IN MY HOUSE, Paid rent THAT INCLUDES WATER AND EVERYTHING BUT STILL NOOO WATER.Called maintenance for emergency help, got no reply. So i guess just screw the residents who pay on time and what not right

The worst I have ever lived in

I love the apartment layout and prices

They have great prices and you get what you pay for, at one time it took longer then it should to get work orders fixed, now with the new owners they have stepped it up I can't wait to see what they do

Ideal Starters for First Timers

The Highlands being my first apartment, I would say it is a good starter place at a fairly reasonable price. Generally, I enjoy the quiet neighborhood though I can hear my neighbors frequently, usually late at night not recently , and the police are here every now and then, which puts me at unease. The upkeep of the grounds is improving, and the staff is friendly and courteous when I need to stop by the office. However, I haven't had the best luck getting my work orders resolved there have been issues since I've moved in last year that still haven't been attended to e.g. unhinged screen door .

Don't rent here

Terrible. Roaches, bad plumbing, some electric outlets do not work. Not enough hot water. Way over priced. Only reason I stay here is the wheelchair accessible bathroom, which is hard to find at most places.

Rent is cheap.. for now anyways.

Parking-isn't the greatest, but that just because the layout of the complex inst the best idea. Noise- walls are thin, I can hear my neighbors TV, I can smell what they cook. Grounds-they do have people cleaning but often the grass bushes are over grown and the potholes are annoying. People don't pick up their dog poop, but also there are never any bags in the pet stations. But owners could just go to dollar tree and get dog bags too. Construction of apartments-Outdated fixtures, cabinets and pop corn ceilings, no overhead lighting or fans except in the dinning. They didn't patch nail holes or removed carpet stains before I moved in. Maintenance crew are general labors. They are not specialized in most things so they have to call out to others making it take longer. And that's if the front actually passes the orders to them. My A C was broke for over a week during the hottest part of the summer in 2017 and they didn't even give me a portable A C because they were being used or were broke. Never got anything off rent or my electric bill for that month. Staff will hopefully be improved with the new owners. Overall, I am a graduate student and this is the cheapest I could get near UCO. And they don'y have a weight limit on dogs.

It needs remodeling

Between people speeding through the parking lot, and the smell of marijuana at times, I would tell them to go elsewhere until the issues could be resolved. I am a father, so those two problems I take very seriously. Lastly, the apartments are outdated, and need repaired. The insulation is terrible in freezing temperatures. Note I will recommend all kinds of people needing a community to live in, but if this new management is willing to stand behind its values in this one.

It is what it is.

I am happy living at this complex you can't beat the price and staff maintenance are wonderful. However, it would be nice if the landscaping were better kept up i.e. mowing more than twice a summer . And asthetically, a lot could be done to improve the grounds which improves your quality of life when entering and leaving the property. It also would make me more likely to refer people. Instead, I really don't like to tell others where I live.

everything is good, the pools could be keep cleaner

parking is very good most the people living here are really nice sometimes the office workers are a little short but thats any place you go. Lighting out side is good, getting in and out of parking lot is a problem sometimes I had a problem with begs and maintenance and I worked very hard to get read of them hardly see any more

It's not the worst but it's also not the best.

I can not complain too much due to very affordable rent in this area, comparing to other apartment complexes Highlands has definitely the best price. Unfortunately the buildings are very old, don't hold the heat nor a c cool. The outside look is AS embarrassing as the apartments' reputation. The motherhood of Ghetto . I think the rent is the only thing that keeps me here. There is not much more amenities left and those were the reason why I initially chose this complex. I really hope this place will be updated as promised, after all it is one of the greatest locations in the City, it deserves a makeover.
